Rajasthan Fair and Festival Holidays

When my friends suggested that we go to Rajasthan, I wondered why not go in Himachal Pradesh and Sikkim as well as natural beauty is much better than the state and semi-arid desert of Rajasthan dry – or so I thought. I realized how wrong I was when I saw for myself that Rajasthan is in fact a land of colors. What nature has not the people more than to make up the color of their clothes and their unique holiday festival. Rajasthan has a rich cultural life, art and architecture and festivals that are celebrated. In fact, the dry deserts and semi-dry and Rajasthan come to life sound, color, enjoy the many social and religious festivals. When we landed in Rajasthan tour, we were lucky to the Gangaur festival in which the ladies of the house to the coming of spring to celebrate the show. To reflect the colors of spring, unmarried girls dress in eight vibrant colors and fast to find a good husband. Married women also observe a fast for good health of their husbands.

Rajasthan: Exotic Locations with Sun, Sand and Palaces

The geography of Rajasthan is identified with deserts; the history of the region is full of war memories. Here the Mughals fought their decisive battles; here the Rajaput kinks defended their land with ardent fervor of patriotism. This has made this northern part of India a land of palaces, built by the medieval kings and emperors who ruled India.

The tourists roaming all over the world desire to visit Rajasthan at least for once in their life time. This charming landscape is dotted with exotic palaces and beautified by the sand of desert. The local people displaying their dances and colourful dresses would be the most pleasant aspect for the tourists coming to India in general and to Rajasthan in particular. among number of beautiful locations in this area, the following are most visited places.

The city of Jaipur, Once the capital of royalty in India, is in the western part of the country, now known as the State of Rajasthan. On their first visit the tourists would fall in love of Jaipur: so are picturesque its forts and gardens, so exotic is the landscape. Jaipur, founded in 1727 by Maharaja Sawai, is the city that was made by planning, perhaps first time in India.
